*Please note that this class will be held at the new Arts Center location at 1716 Main Street in Newberry. The room location may not be determined until closer to date. We will have signs pointing the way if necessary. Join us for a Fun & Skill-Building Quilt Class! Add a new technique to your quilting skills box this month as we explore several different methods for creating HSTs—Half Square Triangles. This classic and versatile block appears in countless quilt designs and can be used in endless creative ways. Make multiples in matching or contrasting fabrics to form a quilt, or save your finished blocks to include in a beautiful sampler quilt using blocks made at multiple classes. Whether you’re looking to expand your skills or simply enjoy a relaxed and friendly sewing session, this class is all about learning, creating, and having a great time together. What to Bring: - 4 Fat Quarters or 4 different fabrics at least 10.5 inches in width. …If you wish to make a sampler quilt, I would suggest purchasing 3 yards of background and 1 yard of focus fabric. You can introduce other fabrics as you make the different blocks. - 50 wt Thread in neutral color - Quilt Ruler; 6 x 24-inch or 12.5-inch square ruler is great, but you can bring what you have - Rotary Cutter with new or extra blade. I prefer the smaller 45mm cutter - Scissors - Seam ripper - Basket or bag for loose threads and fabric ends- trash - A sewing machine in good working order and the basic know-how to use it • NAC has a limited number of machines available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please let us know in advance if you’ll need to reserve one. We also have the basic rulers and tools to share. Come sew with us, learn something new, and enjoy a fun, creative time! Cancellation Policy
Class Cancellation & Refund Policy We understand that life brings surprises to us all, and sometimes people must cancel their class reservation. Seating is limited and we may have people on the waiting list for the class. Please be considerate and let us know as soon as possible if you need to change your plans. Help us continue to offer these wonderful classes, at the most affordable costs possible, by reading and adhering to our cancellation, refund and transfer policies. Please note that under no circumstances will NAC prorate any classes, camps or workshops. Cancellation Policy Classes and Workshops: NAC cancels classes when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 2 business days before the class starts. One Day/Evening Workshops & Events: These 3-hour workshops or events are cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 1 business days before the class starts. Kids & Teens Summer Camps: NAC cancels camps when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 4 business days before the camp starts. Refund Policy Full refunds are given for any class, workshop or event if the class is cancelled by NAC. Cancellations occur when the enrollment does not reach the minimum enrollment. If a student chooses to withdraw from a class, workshop or event, prior to the start date, the refund policy is as follows: Classes and Workshops • 100% refund with 4 or more days notice prior to start date of the class. • 50% refund with 3 or more days notice to start date of the class. • No refunds will be granted after the start of the class or workshop. Camps • 100% refunds with 7 or more days notice. • If a camper is not available for an entire week of camp, we highly recommend that the parents choose another week. Camps are designed to be a week-long learning experiences and projects are not designed to be completed on a day-by-day basis. Transfers • In place of refunds, transfers may be made to another class, or gift certificates may be issued to be used in the future toward classes, workshops and camps.
