Grow Your Quilting Skills: Square-in-a-Square Block Class Add another exciting technique to your quilting skill set! This month, we’ll explore several different methods for creating Square-in-a-Square Blocks—a classic, versatile unit that shows up in countless quilt patterns. These blocks offer endless creative potential: make coordinating or contrasting sets to build a quilt, or save each month’s finished block to include in a beautiful multi-class sampler quilt. Whether you’re hoping to expand your techniques or simply enjoy a relaxed, friendly sewing session, this class focuses on learning, creating, and having fun together. What to Bring • 3 Fat Quarters, or 3 fabrics adding to similar yardage …If you plan to make a sampler quilt: Consider purchasing 3 yards of background fabric and 1 yard of a focus fabric. Additional fabrics can be added as you make future blocks. • 50 wt neutral thread • Quilt Ruler: 6" × 24" or a 12.5" square ruler (bring what you have) • Rotary Cutter (45mm preferred) with a new or spare blade • Scissors • Seam Ripper • Basket or bag for fabric scraps and threads • Bring a Sewing machine in good working order and be comfortable using it. • NAC has a limited number of machines available on a first-come basis. Please let us know ahead of time if you'll need to reserve one. Basic rulers and tools are also available to share. Cancellation Policy
Class Cancellation & Refund Policy We understand that life brings surprises to us all, and sometimes people must cancel their class reservation. Seating is limited and we may have people on the waiting list for the class. Please be considerate and let us know as soon as possible if you need to change your plans. Help us continue to offer these wonderful classes, at the most affordable costs possible, by reading and adhering to our cancellation, refund and transfer policies. Please note that under no circumstances will NAC prorate any classes, camps or workshops. Cancellation Policy Classes and Workshops: NAC cancels classes when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 2 business days before the class starts. One Day/Evening Workshops & Events: These 3-hour workshops or events are cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 1 business days before the class starts. Kids & Teens Summer Camps: NAC cancels camps when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 4 business days before the camp starts. Refund Policy Full refunds are given for any class, workshop or event if the class is cancelled by NAC. Cancellations occur when the enrollment does not reach the minimum enrollment. If a student chooses to withdraw from a class, workshop or event, prior to the start date, the refund policy is as follows: Classes and Workshops • 100% refund with 4 or more days notice prior to start date of the class. • 50% refund with 3 or more days notice to start date of the class. • No refunds will be granted after the start of the class or workshop. Camps • 100% refunds with 7 or more days notice. • If a camper is not available for an entire week of camp, we highly recommend that the parents choose another week. Camps are designed to be a week-long learning experiences and projects are not designed to be completed on a day-by-day basis. Transfers • In place of refunds, transfers may be made to another class, or gift certificates may be issued to be used in the future toward classes, workshops and camps.
