Ages 16+ Minimum of 4 participants Paint & Meditate: Uncover Your Creative Potential This experience is for you whether you're curious about meditation or have practiced for years. If you use art as a gateway to your inner life, or wish you did. If you've lost touch with creativity and want a low-stakes way back in. In this two-hour experience, you'll move through a sound bath with crystal singing bowls, gentle breathwork, and guided meditation before picking up a brush: not to make something to keep, but to practice being present while it disappears. Using water calligraphy mats and guided prompts for inspiration, you’ll paint with pure water on a surface that slowly erases itself. Nothing remains, so there is nothing to judge. Come experience the rare pleasure and pure state of play that comes from making something for its own sake. You'll leave with your own water calligraphy mat and printed meditation guide to continue the practice at home. No meditation or artistic experience necessary. All materials provided, just bring a yoga mat and any comfort items like pillows or blankets for the sound portion. About the Instructor: Sudha McFadden is an artist, educator, and founder of Sumac Arts. Her work has taken her across South Carolina bringing meditation and art practices to communities navigating secondary trauma and burnout. Her work is rooted in a simple conviction: that creativity is not a talent but a capacity, and that given the right conditions, it emerges naturally in everyone.

Class Cancellation & Refund Policy We understand that life brings surprises to us all, and sometimes people must cancel their class reservation. Seating is limited and we may have people on the waiting list for the class. Please be considerate and let us know as soon as possible if you need to change your plans. Help us continue to offer these wonderful classes, at the most affordable costs possible, by reading and adhering to our cancellation, refund and transfer policies. Please note that under no circumstances will NAC prorate any classes, camps or workshops. Cancellation Policy Classes and Workshops: NAC cancels classes when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 2 business days before the class starts. One Day/Evening Workshops & Events: These 3-hour workshops or events are cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 1 business days before the class starts. Kids & Teens Summer Camps: NAC cancels camps when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 4 business days before the camp starts. Refund Policy Full refunds are given for any class, workshop or event if the class is cancelled by NAC. Cancellations occur when the enrollment does not reach the minimum enrollment. If a student chooses to withdraw from a class, workshop or event, prior to the start date, the refund policy is as follows: Classes and Workshops • 100% refund with 4 or more days notice prior to start date of the class. • 50% refund with 3 or more days notice to start date of the class. • No refunds will be granted after the start of the class or workshop. Camps • 100% refunds with 7 or more days notice. • If a camper is not available for an entire week of camp, we highly recommend that the parents choose another week. Camps are designed to be a week-long learning experiences and projects are not designed to be completed on a day-by-day basis. Transfers • In place of refunds, transfers may be made to another class, or gift certificates may be issued to be used in the future toward classes, workshops and camps.
