Creative Hand Mending: Revive & Reimagine Your Favorite Clothes! Don’t toss that beloved jacket or those perfectly broken-in jeans—make them better than ever! In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to breathe new life into your worn or damaged garments using creative mending techniques. We'll explore a blend of hand stitching, patching, and visible mending that allows you to transform flaws into features. Whether your style leans elegant, artsy, or boldly funky, you'll leave with the skills to restore your clothes in a way that’s uniquely yours. No prior sewing experience needed—just bring something you love that’s in need of a little TLC. Supplies: • Garment to sew on • A few spools of #12 thread in colors you like .. I prefer the twisted thread, Wonderfil or Aurfil , not 6 strand embroidery thread • A large eye sewing needle, you may wish to get a mixed package and see which you like using best. I like the Tulip brand because they do not bend as easily. • If you have a piece of fabric, you like and want to add; bring it along I will have some threads, needles and fabric pieces, so don’t fret too much over choices. Mainly bring a learning smile and things you wish to play with. Class Cancellation & Refund Policy We understand that life brings surprises to us all, and sometimes people must cancel their class reservation. Seating is limited and we may have people on the waiting list for the class. Please be considerate and let us know as soon as possible if you need to change your plans. Help us continue to offer these wonderful classes, at the most affordable costs possible, by reading and adhering to our cancellation, refund and transfer policies. Please note that under no circumstances will NAC prorate any classes, camps or workshops. Cancellation Policy Classes and Workshops: NAC cancels classes when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 2 business days before the class starts. One Day/Evening Workshops & Events: These 3-hour workshops or events are cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 1 business days before the class starts. Kids & Teens Summer Camps: NAC cancels camps when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 4 business days before the camp starts. Refund Policy Full refunds are given for any class, workshop or event if the class is cancelled by NAC. Cancellations occur when the enrollment does not reach the minimum enrollment. If a student chooses to withdraw from a class, workshop or event, prior to the start date, the refund policy is as follows: Classes and Workshops • 100% refund with 4 or more days notice prior to start date of the class. • 50% refund with 3 or more days notice to start date of the class. • No refunds will be granted after the start of the class or workshop. Camps • 100% refunds with 7 or more days notice. • If a camper is not available for an entire week of camp, we highly recommend that the parents choose another week. Camps are designed to be a week-long learning experiences and projects are not designed to be completed on a day-by-day basis. Transfers • In place of refunds, transfers may be made to another class, or gift certificates may be issued to be used in the future toward classes, workshops and camps.
