Service Description

Level: Confident Beginner Quilting has many, many different skill sets. I like to call mine, my toolbox. The more things I have in my toolbox, the easier it will be to make what I dream up. With this class I hope to start you on your way to designing your own quilts. Just for a name, I will call this one ‘Cut and Shuffle’. We will go over beginning steps in cutting and sewing your blocks. The number of blocks you will complete will depend on your level of skill and desire. During class you will receive ideas of how to assemble your blocks into a quilt top or other suggestions. Like with many forms of art or hobby you will need some basis equipment. Supply List Most important, a sewing machine in good working order and the know-how to use it ¼ inch sewing foot.. if you do not have this foot we can improvise Scissors Seam ripper Rotary cutter with new blade Cutting mat Quilters rulers … size 12-inch square and 6in x 24in 1 set of 10-inch squares of cotton fabric (layer cake) … or 40 10 inch squares of cotton fabric in a pleasing array of color and pattern Thread to match Iron, ironing mat and spray starch Supplies can be purchased at Quilt Werks on Main Street in downtown Newberry.

Cancellation Policy

Class Cancellation & Refund Policy We understand that life brings surprises to us all, and sometimes people must cancel their class reservation. Seating is limited and we may have people on the waiting list for the class. Please be considerate and let us know as soon as possible if you need to change your plans. Help us continue to offer these wonderful classes, at the most affordable costs possible, by reading and adhering to our cancellation, refund and transfer policies. Please note that under no circumstances will NAC prorate any classes, camps or workshops. Cancellation Policy Classes and Workshops: NAC cancels classes when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 2 business days before the class starts. One Day/Evening Workshops & Events: These 3-hour workshops or events are cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 1 business days before the class starts. Kids & Teens Summer Camps: NAC cancels camps when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 4 business days before the camp starts. Refund Policy Full refunds are given for any class, workshop or event if the class is cancelled by NAC. Cancellations occur when the enrollment does not reach the minimum enrollment. If a student chooses to withdraw from a class, workshop or event, prior to the start date, the refund policy is as follows: Classes and Workshops • 100% refund with 4 or more days notice prior to start date of the class. • 50% refund with 3 or more days notice to start date of the class. • No refunds will be granted after the start of the class or workshop. Camps • 100% refunds with 7 or more days notice. • If a camper is not available for an entire week of camp, we highly recommend that the parents choose another week. Camps are designed to be a week-long learning experiences and projects are not designed to be completed on a day-by-day basis. Transfers • In place of refunds, transfers may be made to another class, or gift certificates may be issued to be used in the future toward classes, workshops and camps.
