Service Description

Level: Intermediate Improv Intersections This class is all about using lines / strips without rulers. You will learn some cool and faster techniques for making ‘plaid’ blocks and quirky lines. There are all kinds of things you can create once you learn this method. I have included some ideas in pictures. This class is for intermediate sewing. If you have taken one of the first two Improv Sewing classes you should do fine in this lesson. Supply List: - Most important, a sewing machine in good working order and the know-how to use it ** NAC does have a few machines we can set up for you to use, please contact NAC. Machines are loaned on a first come basis - ¼ inch sewing foot.. this is optional for this class, but if you want to be a quilter, a must - Scissors - Seam ripper - 28mm Rotary cutter with new blade .. bigger cutter will work just not as well - Cutting mat ……this is optional, we will have a few set up to share - 6in x 24in Quilter’s rulers is optional but always handy 😊 Fabrics: - Multiple pieces and sizes of assorted cotton fabrics in an array that somehow go together. You can get wild or stay tame, your call. Somewhere in the middle is where I usually go. The fabric can be long strips, fat quarters or 10inch squares. It would be good to have a nice variety of prints and fabrics that read like solids or are solids. This would be a good time to go to your scrap pile. - Neutral color thread **Class participants will receive a 10% discount at Quilt Werks, 1505 Main St, by showing a copy of their class registration.
