Service Description

Erin White will be the instructor for this 6-week afternoon pottery session. The experience of working with clay is invaluable for sensory development, motor skills, self-esteem and self-expression. Clay also helps build problem-solving skills, discipline, and pride. In addition, clay has a therapeutic quality that can settle and calm children and keep their attention for hours. During these six-weeks, students will work on these skills while creating several pieces of seasonal themed artwork. Erin is a longtime resident of Newberry County and recently retired as a preschool teacher at First Baptist Church Preschool with over 20 years. Erin loves the Newberry Arts Center and has been involved for many years taking classes, volunteering and teaching.
